Music to Do It To: Lovage
filed under: Music To Do It To by Lux Nightmare
It’s no secret that the right music can set the tone for the perfect night of getting it on… and that the wrong music can destroy even the best chemistry. But how to find the right music?
Enter “Music To Do It To,” Sexerati’s latest feature. We scour the airwaves (or at least Last.fm Radio) in search of all the hottest make out tracks. Know a band we should feature? Send us a tip.
Band: Lovage
Sounds Like: A collaborative project led up by Dan the Automator (of Gorillaz, Handsome Boy Modeling School, and a whole bunch of other awesome projects), Lovage features the steamy vocals of Mike Patton and Jennifer Charles, laid over vintagey tracks contributed by Kid Koala.
Perfect For: With a name like “Music to Make Love to Your Old Lady By,” this album is sure to set the mood for your next night in.
Where to Find It: Amazon, your friendly neighborhood record shop, the iTunes store.

-Jennifer Charles is amazing…hipnotic…anything with her vocals qualifies as “music to make love to your old lady by”
-Mike Patton is a genius…his voice is a swiss army knife.
-And Kid Koala’s DJ technique is as subtle as they come, yet highly distinctive.
Probably the last great Dan The Automator project.
Interesting note, Patton also released an EP entitled “Songs To Make Love To” with Faith No More, which included covers of Easy (Commodores), Let’s Lynch The Landlord (Dead Kennedys) and the Midnight Cowboy Theme.
Every time I hear “Book of the Month,” I melt into a puddle on the floor.
