No, Really, There is a Radical Homosexual Agenda
filed under: Strange Bedfellows by Melissa Gira
Queers take to the streets for the right to free assembly in New York City, where city officials have proposed that no group of fifty or more may gather without a permit. Last weekend, the Radical Homosexual Agenda organized a parade without a permit in the name of queer mutiny and the Bill of Rights. The proposed permit change is the work of out lesbian City Council Speaker, Christine Quinn, and would criminalize NYC’s historic Dyke March, Drag March, as well as not-just-for-queermosexual actions like Critical Mass.
But leave it to sexual outlaws to take the lead on American values:
“The military junta in Myanmar has ruled that five or more people cannot gather in the streets there. Does Speaker Quinn really believe the difference between a junta and a democracy is 45 people?” [RHA organizer] Doody asked.
After the cut, three videos right from the scene.
