Following the flourishing career of a Graduate designer is one of the most exciting processes within the Fashion Industry. From their quick sketches and samples at the beginning of their first year at University, to their final show at events such as Graduate Fashion Week, the sheer amount of creativity is astounding.
Students across the globe flock to status Universities in London, for example London College of Fashion and Central St Martins, but what about those students that study closer to home? It’s time to shed a little light on the designers who are further afield.
Wolfgang Jarnach; Academie of Mode and Design, Munich

Wolfgang Jarnach’s ten-piece Graduate collection is inspired by exponential growth and it’s inevitable collapse, illustrated by increasing volume throughout the first 8 looks and a sharp contrast of bodycon pieces for the last two. His idea is backed up with the craftsmanship and design of his collection, which is avant-garde, yet still wearable.
Roya Hesam; Amsterdam Fashion Institution

Roya Hesam’s Graduate collection could easily be slipped into Selfridges or Harrods and no one would bat an eyelid; the colour palette and fabrics used are perfectly on trend. The high quality of execution also adds to the luxurious feel that this collection has to offer.
Verena Zeller; Institute of Fashion Design, Basel
With a slightly more couture take on her Graduate collection, Verena Zeller really stands out amongst her peers. Inspired by the thought of
the World being a stage, theatrical and modular pieces reflect this idea. Layered sheer fabric and thick felt give an almost tectonic plate feel to her garments.
Vicole Lang; Lasalle College of the Arts, Singapore
With a similarly theatrical feel, Vicole Lang opted for fetishistic opening pieces consisting of black PVC and elastic body suits. Her collection develops this idea as it progresses with a demure yet studded ballgown and Hannah Marshall-esque leather spikes.
Irina Dudina; State University of Technology and Design, St Petersburg
For a splash of colour and volume, Irina Dudina has injected classic silhouettes with ice cream tones and exaggerated shapes with a cheeky
nod to the 1980’s.
