2009 into 2010 has seen a mercurial emergence of collaborations across the electronic sphere. Most notable have been Burial & Four Tet with the eponymous Moth / Wolf Cub and Flying Lotus recruiting Thom Yorke & Thundercat to craft the most haunting moments on Cosmogramma. The same period has seen Berlin-based label Hot Flush launch a string of consistently rapturous releases starting with Joy Orbison and most recently Scuba & duo Mount Kimbie.

Sticking with this intriguing trend Hot Flush have just released Love Pressure by New York’s Sepalcure, a curious partnership between Machine Drum & Praveen. Again, one that appears to work. The opening track explores a vibrant mood throughout, touching upon the familiar sounds of South London, whilst retaining a progressive feel that wouldn’t be out of place within the confides of a Detroit warehouse. Jolly fine beats one surely must proclaim.
