I am quick to discover (surprisingly at the lack of net capability) that ‘The Hospital Club 100′ is a relatively new ‘democratically processed’ power list.
Oh the power list, much like ‘the top ten’, it infuriates me.
What a non sensical waste of time and space they have become, especially in a time where GQs top 100 ‘fittest women’ seem to be more imperative then the once aspirational lists of ‘Time’.
Theres only so many times I can be told in the span of a century that Michael Jackson’s – Thriller is THE BEST ALBUM OF ALL TIME and to be honest NME’s latest opinion on The Strokes album – ‘Is this it’ ( ..exactly what I was thinking when I listened to it) being the best in the last decade..
However, this Hospital Club 100 malarky quite intrigues me.
Websites quite nice n’ all – influenced by Russian Communist Propaganda – goes hand in hand with the whole juxtaposition of concept.
The list is divided between the established and emerging.
Covering the usual and expected fields of Film, TV, Music, Fashion and Art, but additionally (and refreshingly) includes advertising, marketing & PR, performance, publishing & writing, design and digital.
The lists are also well researched and require some knowledge, theres not a lot of household names to resort to, helped by the supply of information on each of the nominee’s – discovery whilst you vote!
For once I actually feel compelled to participate and I am inspired and enlightened by the line up:
Recognition for the up coming industry creative and inspiration for the readership?
Ribbed Magazine salutes your list Hospital Club!

Oh and The Hospital Club itself is definitely one to check out:
Not only a glorious venue in the heart of Covent Garden, hosting exhibitions from the likes of Annie Lebovitz to a plethora of young British Artists, Events such as The world dinner for Tamara Mellon and Tom Ford, a boastful studio space used by the likes of T4 and Hope for Haiti Now.
Additionally they have a social networking site booming with information of talent and happenings…
The Hospital Club is bang on supporting the careers of emerging creatives, and we all know how much Ribbed loves and lives for this too!
So I leave this link to The creative in Residence programme and the main Hospital Club website for your minds to melt in unison
